Vaccinations for Dogs and Puppies

Vaccines are an effective way to protect your canine companion against harmful diseases.

Vaccination is the foundation of preventative veterinary medicine. Our clinic offers a variety of vaccines for dogs. Our team will happily draw up a vaccination schedule adapted to you and your pet’s needs.

Why should I get my dog vaccinated?

It’s extremely important to get your puppy vaccinated since it gives it the antibodies needed to fight numerous serious diseases. When puppies are born, their immune system is weak, which is why the first vaccines are given at 8 weeks old. A series of shots are necessary for the vaccines to remain effective, even once your dog has reached adulthood.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for puppies and dogs?

Puppies need to receive the DHPP vaccine, a core vaccine. It protects them from four diseases: distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. Three injections are given, at 8, 12, and 16 weeks.

Other vaccines your vet might recommend offer protection against rabies, Lyme disease, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella.
